This is how I make my steak, cauliflower mash, and roasted rainbow carrots.
Ingredients for Steak:
- Steak of your choice
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 Tbsp of butter per steak
- 1 sprig of thyme and rosemary per steak
- 2 garlic cloves per steak
- Canola Oil
Ingredients for Carrots:
- 1-2 lbs of whole carrots that have been washed and peeled
- 1-2 Tbsp Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Ingredients for Cauliflower Mash:
- 1 bag of cauliflower florets
- Butter
- Heavy whipping cream
- Parmesan cheese
- Parsley
- Garlic Salt
- Garlic Powder
- Pepper
Intructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F
- Toss carrots with olive oil and seasonings.
- Arrange carrots in a single line on baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-30min depending on the size of your carrots. To check and see if carrots are done pierce with a fork. Once soft they are done!
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add in cauliflower florets and boil until tender.
- Drain and remove as much liquid as possible.
- Add to a food processor with all ingredients above. (I didn’t use specific measurements because it is all preference on thickness of the mash.)
- Heat 2 Tbsp of canola oil in your cast iron skillet
- Season steak on all sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear steak for 5-7min on all sides depending on your temperature liking.
- Add in butter, thyme, rosemary, and garlic.
- BASTE BASTE BASTE
- Set steak on a cutting board to rest and repeat until all steaks are finished!
