Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddle

*NOTE: This recipe makes 5 McGriddles

Ingredients:

Chaffle batter

  • 1/2 cup of almond flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese
  • 4-6 Tbsp of sugar free maple syrup

Sandwich toppings

  • 5 eggs cooked to your liking
  • 5 sausage patties
  • 5 slices of cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat mini waffle maker and mix all of the chaffle ingredients.
  2. Pour 2-3 spoonful’s of batter into the waffle maker and cook until set- about 3-5min.
  3. Remove the maple waffle once finished and repeat with the remaining batter.
  4. Top with egg, sausage, and cheese.

*These freeze extremely well so it would be easy to double the recipe and freeze for an every day breakfast item. If preparing from frozen wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave for 1:30-2min!

*Optional: Roll the sausage patty out thin so it is almost the size of the chaffle.
